Puan's Political Safari Under Megawati's Order, Establishing Dialogue Between Political Parties Is Considered Important By PDIP

JAKARTA - PDI-P DPP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said Puan Maharani was assigned by PDIP DPP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to lead a political safari to meet leaders of political parties (parpol).

"So it's clear that Mrs. Puan was assigned by Mrs. Megawati, and we are accompanying these meetings," said Hasto after the inauguration of the party office for the sixth wave at the PDI-P DPP office, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 24.

In the political safari, Puan was accompanied by General Treasurer Olly Dondokambey, Head of the DPP for Election Winning Bambang "Pacul" Wuryanto, and Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.

The PDIP political safari which continues to be carried out to other parties is a positive tradition built by the party for the good of the Indonesian nation in the future.

"This friendly meeting between political party leaders is very good. However, in building the nation and state, dialogue is very necessary," he explained.

When asked by reporters how did Surya Paloh meet Megawati at Teuku Umar's residence? Hasto dismissed.

"No... even though the new NasDem Office and the house of Chairwoman Megawati are close together," said Hasto.

What is clear, Hasto said that Puan Maharani will continue to lead the political safari whose agenda after NasDem will continue to the Gerindra Party, Golkar, PKB, PAN, and PPP.

"That's right (Puan Maharani leads the political safari, ed). That's why there is an Advance Team. We are accompanying, there is Mr. Bambang Pacul, Mr. Olly Dondokambey, and myself as Secretary General," he said.

Puan is said to have the capacity to build political communication between political parties.

"She is the Chair of the DPP for Political Affairs and her capacity as the Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives is a lot of dialogue with all political party factions in the DPR RI. Of course in accordance with the assignment of General Chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri," said Hasto.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP Megawati Soekarnoputri admitted that she ordered Puan to conduct political communication with other political parties because apart from the Chair of the DPR RI, Puan was the Chair of the PDIP DPP.

"I saw that there was only one party, that's what it was, but the style was different... it was immediately different," said Megawati in her speech at the online office inauguration ceremony.

Megawati said she could see something different after the NasDem meeting. As a long-standing politician, Megawati admits that she has a lot of experience so she can see the difference in the situation.

"I can see, my old eyes have a lot of experience, so from a political point of view I can also see. (Even though) only 1 party has been visited by Mrs. Puan who has served in the PDIP DPP and DPR RI," said Megawati.
