COVID-19 Update As Of August 20: 4.922 New Cases, 4.302 Recovered
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 83.134 specimens were examined with the results of 4.922 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6.311.608 people and active cases have increased by 598 to 52.607 cases," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Saturday, August 6.
Today's recovered cases increased by 4.302 cases, bringing the total to 6.101.636 people recovered. Then, there were 22 positive confirmations that died and a total of 157.365 people.
The province with the highest new cases is DKI Jakarta with 2.324 cases, bringing a total of 1.376.078 cases. Followed by West Java with 994 new cases bringing the total to 1.156.222. Banten has 511 new cases for a total of 324.357. Then, East Java with 419 new cases bringing the total to 593.677 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,258 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 617 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 409 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 384 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 105.765.132.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 6.092 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 203.101.690 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 170.605.103 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 59.106.706. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234.666.020 people.
