Twitter Tests With Displaying Number Of Tweets Per Month Considered 'Horrible'
JAKARTA - To further optimize the performance of its app, the Twitter company is testing a tool that lets you see the number of tweets you post per month.
The trial of this feature was first discovered by an application researcher Nima Owji a few months ago. However, it seems that the trial of this feature has already been seen by more users.
If you currently only view the number of tweets of a person, based on what was posted, you will be able to see the number of tweets that the account posted in a monthly period.
Twitter will put this tool late at the bottom of the Tweets, Tweets & Replies, Media, and Likes tabs. You'll see the total tweets of the account as a whole on the left, and the total tweets per month on the right.
"This is part of an ongoing experiment where we wanted to learn how providing more context about an account's Tweet frequency can help people make more informed decisions about the accounts they choose to engage with," said a Twitter spokesperson.
Some people might cringe at this feature, because others can see how often you tweet there.

"This new Twitter feature where they tell you how many tweets you do per month is actually really rude," said one Twitter user with the account name @iwishiwasafinch.
In addition to testing the number of tweets per month, Twitter is also testing a feature that allows you to edit your tweets.
