Unpaid Employee Income Allowance, ASN Jayawijaya Papua Demo At The Regent's Office

WAMENA - Several State Civil Apparatuses (ASN) of Jayawijaya Regency, Papua demonstrated at the local Regent's Office because their additional employee income (TPP) had not been paid.

The Action Coordinator, Isaiah Heselo said those who staged the demonstration were representatives of 28 regional apparatus organizations (OPD).

"This has entered the third quarter and has not been paid, either the first, second and third", he said as quoted by ANTARA, August 2.

This ASN agreed to go on strike for two weeks until it was clear when their TPP was paid.

"If it is not paid, we will strike for an indefinite period of time", he said.

Jayawijaya Regional Secretary Thony Mayor said the delay in payment occurred because of the rules that must be met, such as the rules from the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform, and the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"Indeed, with regional conditions like ours here, one of the problems is the inadequate internet network, limited human resources, this is a problem with the conditions given", he said.

The Regional Secretary said that after receiving the demonstrators, they would hold a meeting to determine the steps to be taken.

"Regarding their plan to strike, I think they said so but they will work anyway", he said.
