Indonesian Maritime Security Official Car Involved In Accident On Semarang-Boyolali Toll Road, 2 People Died
SEMARANG - Two people died in an accident at KM 483 of the Semarang-Solo toll road in Boyolali Regency, Central Java, Saturday, July 30.
The accident involved a Toyota Fortuner and a tronton truck.
The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Commissioner Iqbal Alqudusy, said the Toyota Fortuner car involved in the accident was an official vehicle of the Indonesian Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) with police number 25213-00.
"The two victims who died were the driver and passenger of the Fortuner," said Iqbal, as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday.
He explained that the unfortunate incident began when the Fortuner car and the truck with the license plate number AG 9656 UB were both traveling from west to east.
Arriving at KM 483+500, he said, the Fortuner hit the truck that was moving in front of it.
The two victims killed were Frigate Brittianto Putro (36) and Herry Setianegara (64), a passenger in the car who was a retired Navy officer.
Meanwhile, another Fortuner passenger, he said, was injured and had received help at the hospital.

He said the cause of the collision that killed the two people were not yet known. The two victims who died have been evacuated to the Pandan Arang Hospital in Boyolali.
