DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Will Relocate Citayam Fashion Week To A Decent Place
JAKARTA - Citayam Fashion Week (CFW) activity in the Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta, has begun to receive criticism from the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria.
According to him, the fashion show is considered to disturb public order.
"Don't go out on the street if you hold a fashion show, it really disturbs public order," said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria to reporters in the Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta, Saturday night, July 23.
The Deputy Governor considered that the fashion show in the middle of the road was a very disturbing activity for people to walk and cross. Not to mention the two-wheeled vehicles parked on the sidewalk to disturb pedestrians.
"Bicycle lanes are used to park motorcycles, it's very disturbing," he said.
Seeing the increasing number of visitors to Citayam Fashion Week in the Dukuh Atas area, the provincial government plans to organize and relocate the SCBD youth trend to another place.
For example, in the National Monument (Monas) area, Senayan, Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), or the Sarinah courtyard.
"The four locations can later be used as fashion week, so we can also meet there. The important thing is not to do activities in the middle of the road and it is very disturbing and dangerous," he explained.
Furthermore, the Deputy Governor of DKI also supports the Central Jakarta Metro Police which states that the function of the zebra crossing is a place for pedestrians to cross. Instead of being a place for catwalk fashion show activities.
"Later, celebrities, artists, and all of them who have talent in fashion shows can hold it at that location. Later we will find a place, we discussed it with all those involved. Don't walk in the middle of the road or at the zebra cross, it is very dangerous," he said.
