Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno Conveys 3 Main Challenges For Creative Economy Actors
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno conveyed three challenges faced by creative economy players in Indonesia, namely improving product quality, marketing and financing.
He said that creative economy actors must improve the quality of their products so that they are competitive and move up class.
Therefore, said Sandiaga, his party continues to provide guidance.
"We provide training, assistance, especially for digitalization," he said as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, July 17.
The second challenge is related to product marketing. To increase public interest in creative and creative products, the assemblies of business actors must have authentic, relevant, and become popular values.
He gave an example, plastic waste craft products processed by a business actor named Evi Rosita who told a story of her struggle with breast cancer since 2018 while still doing craft business.
For Sandiaga, Eva's original and interesting story of struggle can be a motivation for other cancer sufferers to carry out business activities.
The products made by Eva are also considered relevant because one of Indonesia's main problems is related to waste.
After having the originality and relevance of the product, the waste craft product will become the talk of the community, especially among people with cancer.
“These products can be purchased by her family first because Mrs. Eva's family must have sympathy for the struggle to overcome cancer. The second is the community, and the last one can be offered at international events when the products are world-class,” said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.
The third challenge is regarding the financing that has been provided through various government programs.
