Add 7, Accumulated COVID-19 Cases In Bangka Belitung Becomes 65,641 People
BABEL - The Bangka Belitung Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force stated that the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 had increased by seven as of Wednesday, July 13.
Thus, the accumulation of cases in Babylon since the first case of COVID-19 in the country has increased to 65,641 people.
"With the addition of these seven cases, there are 21 active COVID-19 patients", said Secretary of the Babel Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force Micron Antariksa in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Islands, Wednesday, July 13.
He said, based on the latest daily COVID-19 case data in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, the additional seven cases of people exposed to the Coronavirus were spread in Central Bangka three, Belitung two, Bangka and Pangkalpinang one case each.
Meanwhile, patients recovering from COVID-19 also increased by three with a cumulative 64,018 people and zero patients died from the Coronavirus so the cumulative deaths from COVID-19 remained at 1,602 people.
"In the last three days, cases of people exposed to the Coronavirus have continued to increase, so it is hoped that the public will be more vigilant by implementing health protocols", he said.

He stated that with the addition of these seven cases, the number of active COVID-19 patients increased to 21 spread across Bangka eight, Bellitung five, Central Bangka four, and Pangkalpinang four, while West Bangka, South Bangka, and East Belitung had zero active patients.
"This COVID-19 case began to increase ahead of this year's Eid al-Adha, due to increased community activities to welcome the qurban (sacrifice) Eid", he said.
The head of the East Belitung COVID-19 Task Force, Ikhwan Fahrozi, said the local government continues to intensify vaccinations to maintain East Belitung's zero COVID-19 cases.
"Vaccination activities have been carried out on a massive scale to touch people in remote villages, to increase the community's immunity from this Coronavirus", he said.
