Enlivening Bhayangkara's Anniversary, Thousand Of Residents Broke World's Record For Dance In Magelang
MAGELANG - Thousands of residents of Magelang City and its surroundings filled the square during the Gugur Gunung dance world record-breaking event, Thursday morning, July 7. The dance was not only performed in the Magelang City square, a number of people from various regions in Indonesia also participated in the dance activities online.
The Indonesian World Record Museum recorded more than 14,000 residents participating in the activity so it was worthy of being called world record-breaking.
Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi together with Forkompinda Magelang and Magelang community leader, KH Yusuf Chudhori (FI Islamic boarding school) who were also present at the event, participated in the dance movement which symbolized the spirit of mutual cooperation and togetherness.
"The MURI record-breaking activity through the Gugur Gunung Dance was initiated by the Magelang Police Chief in addition to uniting the community culture as well as educating our community to participate in enlivening the 76th Day of Bhayangkara," said Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi in a written statement, Thursday, July 7.
He added that the Gugur Gunung Dance world record-breaking activity was held by the Magelang community in order to enliven the 76th Bhayangkara Anniversary. For this reason, he really appreciates the activity.

"Because on the right day Bhayangkara is also for the community, because the Police belong to the Indonesian people. In this activity, the Gugur Gunung dance illustrates the togetherness of the Police with the community in an effort to maintain Harkamtibmas," explained the Police Chief.
In line with the Central Java Police Chief, Magelang Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Yolanda Evalyn Sebayang as the organizer of the activity, said the mountain's knockout dance was held in a colossal manner because of the values of togetherness contained in it.
Yolanda expressed her gratitude for the participation of the community from various regions and saluted the enthusiasm of those who took part in the activity.
"We thank the participants who have participated online from various regions, some from Nusantara Capital, Banten, Jakarta, Bandung, and from many other islands throughout Indonesia," she said.
Senior Manager of the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI), Sri Widayati announced that her party had officially recorded the number of participants participating in the Gugur Gunung dance simultaneously on that occasion reached 14,245 participants.
"This amount is based on the calculation of participants who take part directly in the Magelang city square or online. This number not only broke Indonesia's record but also broke world records," she said when giving information at the activity location.
As a confession of this achievement, MURI handed over the charter to the Magelang Police Chief as the leader and organizer of the Gugur Gunung Dance Performance by the Most Dancers.
