Jokowi Visits Ukraine And Russia, Member Of DPR Golkar Fraction: Indonesia Becomes The Motor Of World Peace
JAKARTA - Member of House of Representatives (DPR) Commission I Golkar Fraction, Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, assessed that President Joko Widodo's visit to Ukraine and Russia was Indonesia's first step in realizing the world peace mission.
"The peace mission that President Jokowi brought to Ukraine and Russia is to fly the Indonesian flag as one of the motors of world peace", Bobby said in a virtual discussion entitled 'Is it true that Jokowi Failed to Reconcile Russia-Ukraine' virtually, Tuesday, July 5.
Because Bobby continued, the mission material that Jokowi brought was much different from the leaders of other countries. Both Europe and Asia have also visited one of the belligerent countries.
"Mr. President Jokowi is the only leader of an Asian country who goes there. Others offer to continue the war, whether impose sanctions, whether provide weapons, whether finance. This is different", he explained.
Therefore, according to Bobby, President Jokowi's mission to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin has emphasized Indonesia's stance on upholding its foreign policy goals. Namely, creating world order by the mandate of the 1945 Constitution.
"So the name of Indonesia as a driver of world peace, and included in our constitution, has at least been flying in international relations", said the Golkar legislator for the South Sumatra electoral district.

According to Bobby, this is an important point because peace is a process, not because a meeting immediately ends with a ceasefire.
"In fact, what Mr. Jokowi is putting forward is trying to dialogue starting from the material. Although there has been some miscommunication, some say they deny that they have sent messages, but that is not a substance. The material is that if the war continues it will have an impact on the food and energy crisis", concluded Bobby.
