JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Finance has determined the 13th salary budget for the 2022 period is IDR 35.5 trillion.
Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, said that the figure consisted of IDR 11.5 trillion for 1.79 million State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the central government (ministry and institutions). Then Rp 15 trillion for 3.65 million ASN in the regions, and IDR 9 trillion for 3.32 million retirees.
"We express our gratitude to the state apparatus, including the Indonesian Army (TNI) and National Police who carried out their duties during the pandemic and continued to maintain services by overseeing the national economic recovery process", she said through a virtual channel when stating the media crew on Tuesday, June 28.
In her explanation, the Minister of Finance revealed that the budget allocation for the 13th salary has been included in the 2022 state budget posture in the state expenditure sector. He also explained that the 13th salary for regional ASN is part of the General Allocation Fund (DAU) and can be adjusted to the fiscal capacity of each regional government by referring to applicable regulations.
"Payments can start from July 1, 2022", she said.

Furthermore, the state treasurer said that the 13th salary was given at the salary or the value of the basic pension and attached benefits, such as family allowances, food, and positions.
"And 50 percent of the performance allowance per month to those who get the performance allowance", she said.
As for the regional government, a maximum of 50 percent of income by taking into account the capacity of the regional fiscal capacity by the applicable laws and regulations.
“The 13th salary is given ahead of the new school year. This is a form of appreciation for the contribution and service of the state apparatus and retirees who have served the community", she said.
