Live Duration On Instagram Can Be Up To Four Hours

JAKARTA - Instagram again improves the user experience when doing live video broadcasts (Live). This time the duration of Live Instagram was extended to four hours.

Launching The Verge, these changes will help content creators and Instagram users to maximize the duration of the live stream. Where according to them, during the pandemic there was an increase in the number of live streams by 70 percent.

In addition to increasing the duration of the Live feature, Instagram will later be able to temporarily store Live videos for 30 days. Specifically, the video will be saved automatically after broadcast on IGTV.

It is planned that this Facebook subsidiary will also launch other features that can be useful for content creators. This feature is similar to an archive page for Feeds or Stories which can be deleted automatically after 30 days.

So before the deadline, creators can download the video if they want to upload it on other social media such as Facebook, YouTube or even TikTok. Reportedly, this feature will be introduced in May 2021.

Prior to this, Instagram has also added a badge or badge feature to live stream hosts. This badge allows fans to give an immediate appreciation to the host during a live stream.
