PKS Recommends Party Coalition After Rapimnas
JAKARTA - The Chair of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Syuro Council, Salim Segaf Al-Jufri, stated that his party might produce a recommendation for a coalition of parties to face the 2024 General Election after the National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) on Monday, June 20.
"Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow we'll see. If it's final, I don't see it yet. But maybe there will be a recommendation from the coalition party. The final presidential candidate is not yet," said Salim, quoting Antara, June 19.
Regarding the possibility of building a coalition with the Gerindra Party and PKB, he said that the PKS party was still conducting initial communications and there had been no final results.
Therefore, said Salim Segaf, all party cadres must be patient.
"So, it's still early communication, huh. Nothing is final yet. We need to be patient," said Salim.
On the same occasion, Salim also expressed his hope for the emergence of a new axis in the chess of national politics.

"Until later, hopefully, there will be a pivot, yes. If we look at it, there are probably three candidates, yes, three presidential candidates. Hopefully, it will come true," he said.
Furthermore, he also discussed the possibility of building a coalition with the Gerindra Party.
For PKS, although previously it has formed a coalition with the Gerindra Party repeatedly and has not won the general election, there is no word of giving up or deterring in forming a coalition.
"Anyone can. There is nothing wrong with politics as long as interests can be met," said Salim.
