Cases Of Cured COVID-19 In North Sulawesi Soared To 50,160 People

MANADO - The accumulation of residents of North Sulawesi who have been declared cured of COVID-19 has increased to 50,160 people or 97.68 percent after six cases recovered today.

"Today, six additional cases have recovered, all from Minahasa Regency", said Head of the North Sulawesi Provincial Health Office, Dr. Debie KR Kalalo, MSc.PH, Wednesday, June 8.

Control of the spread of COVID-19 in the province with a population of more than 2.6 million people, continues to be carried out in districts and cities by carrying out the "Rapid Diagnostic Test Antigen" (RDT–Ag).

It was recorded that as many as 12 regencies and cities were carried out (RDT–Ag) and of the 167 samples taken, none were confirmed positive.

Quoted by Antara, he added, that the accumulation of positive confirmed cases was 51,358 people after the addition of two new cases.

The two additional new cases of COVID-19 came from South Minahasa Regency, infecting men and women aged 5-14 years.

He hoped that people would not be careless in implementing health protocols when carrying out activities.

He added the death rate due to COVID-19 (Case Fatality Rate) was 2.27 percent with the number of death cases being 1,169 people.

Meanwhile, residents who are still being treated (active cases) are 29 people, or 0.06 percent.
