Revealing The Financial Performance Of 41 SOEs In 2021, Erick Thohir: Income Equivalent To 99 Percent Of The State Budget, Net Profit Of IDR 126 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) noted that the net profit of SOEs in 2021 grew significantly to reach IDR 126 trillion. This achievement is inseparable from the success of the transformation launched by the Ministry of SOEs.
SOE Minister Erick Thohir said the improvement in the performance of SOEs also had a positive impact on the contribution to the country. Where the total taxes, dividends, and PNBP provided by SOEs on a consolidated basis reached IDR 371 trillion.
Furthermore, Erick said that the total revenue of SOEs in 2021 was IDR 1,983 trillion, equivalent to 99 percent of the revenue from the state budget (APBN).
"From 108 SOEs to 41 SOEs. Alhamdulillah, the profit in 2021 compared to the previous year, which was IDR 13 trillion, now with all the efficiency and improvement of the business model supported by Commission VI, the profit for 2021 is IDR 126 trillion. This is an achievement that I feel is extraordinary", said in a Working Meeting with House of Representatives Commission VI, Tuesday, June 7.
With all these achievements, Erick proposed an additional budget for the Ministry of SOEs for 2023 by IDR 79.7 billion or IDR 311 billion from the previous IDR 232 billion.
Erick said the indicative ceiling given to the Ministry of SOEs was the smallest compared to all ministries. Even so, Erick emphasized that the Ministry of SOEs would continue to work efficiently and calculative.
"If you don't mind, we want to be able to keep it at IDR 300 billion, not continue to decline like today's IDR 194 billion. Especially if you look at the mandate given by Commission VI, where we can continue to ensure job openings, carry out assistance to MSMEs, and continue to maintain national strategic projects", said Erick.

Another note, said Erick, is that with total assets managed by SOEs reaching IDR 8,998 trillion, this ceiling is certainly very small compared to the workload. Erick is also optimistic that dividend payments will return to normal after the pandemic.
The achievements of the Ministry of SOEs in improving the performance of SOEs have received appreciation from the House of Representatives Commission VI. One of the members of House of Representatives Commission VI, Mufti Anam, said that what Erick did was not easy, especially in the midst of challenges due to the pandemic. However, said Anam, Erick managed to exceed the number of targets set.
"We express our appreciation for the 2021 performance, the record that we have received dividends has exceeded the target, from IDR 35 trillion, IDR 41 trillion has been reached. This is not an easy job, but it was successfully done", said Anam.
Meanwhile, a member of the House of Representatives Commission VI from the Gerindra faction, Andre Rosiade. He said Erick managed to make history with the consolidated financial statements of SOEs.
"The appreciation of the consolidated financial statements that Mr. Erick described. This is the first time in history, that the Ministry of SOEs can carry out consolidation. We need to appreciate this", said Andre.
