Annoyed Response Of Florida Police To Elementary School Boy Spreading Fake Threats Of Mass Shooting
JAKARTA - Florida police have been vexed by a 10-year-old boy who made false threats to carry out a mass shooting. The police don't care even if it turns out to be a joke, they don't want to take the risk.
Florida authorities on Monday, May 31, finally released photos and footage of the arrest of a 10-year-old boy accused of threatening to shoot his school. Police said the move was a consequence of a criminal suspect.
"While I understand the boy is 10, his brain is not yet fully developed, he is still a teenager. But I have to tell you: When a 10-year-old pushes the trigger, the consequences are the same regardless of age," said Lee County Sheriff Carmine. Marceno was quoted from the New York Post, Tuesday, May 31.
The sheriff's office posted a video to Facebook showing the perpetrator, identified as a fifth-grader at Patriot Elementary School in Cape Coral — arrested Saturday, May 28 for alleged threats via text message.
When being led, this boy wore handcuffs with his hands behind his back. He's wearing blue Crocs, a hooded t-shirt, and matching shorts.
Marcelo talks about the suspect having a baby face. The assailant told a friend via text message, "get ready" for him to carry out a mass shooting.
"I cheated on my friend," the boy wrote in the text, which included an image of Google money, according to the arrest report.
Daniel then allegedly shared pictures of the four assault rifles he admitted to being purchased. He also said "get ready for water day" - referring to a recent school-sponsored event where students participated in water activities.
"We didn't wait 1 second," said Marcelo seeing the boy's threat.

“We investigate every threat as if it were real. We have zero-tolerance," he said.
"Our children will be safe no matter what happens," he continued.
"You can't come into one of my schools in my area and present a lethal force," Marceno said.
“Because we met lethal force with lethal force, without a second, without hesitation. If you think you're going to come and kill a child, teacher, or faculty member, think again—we'll kill you right away.”
