MAKASSAR - The Directorate of Special Investigation and Crime of South Sulawesi Police has begun to examine eleven people in a marathon related to the sinking of the KM Ladang Pertiwi 2 in the Makassar Strait.
"Until now, there are 11 people whose condition is suitable for us to examine. Then part of the village head is also being investigated", said the Director of Special Crimes at the South Sulawesi Police, Commissioner Widoni Fedri, during a press conference on the development of the sinking of KM Ladang Pertiwi 2 above KN SAR Kamajaya, Port Container, Makassar, South Sulawesi, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 31.
Commissioner Widoni said it was suspected that there was negligence during the ship's shipping process, including the sailing permit that should have been given by the local harbormaster, to the shipowner by the regulations.

Second, he continued, related to Article 302 of the Shipping Law, which regulates the feasibility of ship transportation to be dispatched to be seaworthy or declared safe without damage.
"This ship is not suitable for sailing, for those concerned later, the punishment is four to five years", said Widoni emphasizing.
