Shutting Down Cloud Cam Permanently, Amazon Gives One Year Free Blink And Echo Subscriptions
JAKARTA - Amazon announced that they are discontinuing the indoor security camera, Cloud Cam which has been released since 2017. Amazon Cloud Cam is a smart indoor security camera that lets you track your home. At the time of its launch, Amazon claimed that this Cloud Cam can be obtained at an affordable price.
A few days ago, in an email, Amazon said customers will no longer be able to use Cloud Cam and all companion apps starting December 2, 2022.
According to the email sent, Cloud Cam users will no longer be able to download any videos, and all recorded history will be deleted starting December 2.
"Starting December 2, 2022, customers will no longer be able to use Amazon Cloud Cam and Amazon Cloud Cam Key Edition," an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement received by MacRumors. Although Cloud Cam will be discontinued, Amazon looks set to offer other attempts at creating other smart home technologies such as Ring and Blink products.

Lastly, Amazon says that customers who are still actively using their Cloud Cam will be eligible for a complementary Blink Mini and a full year of Blink Subscription Plans.
While customers who are still actively using the “Key Edition” Cloud Cam, will be eligible for the fourth-generation Echo as a replacement hub for connecting compatible smart keys via the Alexa app.
