Police Investigators Visited The House Of The Chairman Of Our Executive Committee, Ahmad Yani, This Is The Explanation

JAKARTA - The investigating team from the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit visited the house of Ahmad Yani, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE). Police personnel came to investigate the demonstration against the Omnibus Law on the Job Creation Law which ended in chaos some time ago.

"So the point is true that a member of the Police Criminal Investigation Unit came to Mr. Yani's house. We are conducting an investigation regarding the presence of anarchist on 8 (October)," said the Head of Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, to reporters, Tuesday, October 20.

Argo emphasized that the arrival of investigators was not meant to arrest him. Instead, he conveyed an invitation to the examination which will take place today.

"So the person concerned will provide a statement today, we are now waiting," he said.

However, Argo did not explain the reasons for Ahmad Yani's examination, including whether or not there was a connection with the US suspect who was previously arrested.

"Yes, it is still under development," he said.

Bareskrim Polri previously named 9 people as suspects for spreading hate speech and encouragement related to the chaos of demonstrations against the Job Creation Act.

Of the 9 people, 7 of whom are members and high-ranking US officials, among others, Syahganda Nainggolan, Anton Permana, Jumhur Hidayat, Juliana, Devi, Khairi Amri, Wahyu Rasari Putri.

As for the other two, namely former PKS legislative candidates Kingkin Anida and Dedy Wahyudi, the owner of the social media account @podoradong.

They were suspected of having different articles. They are charged with the suspicion of spreading hate speech and hoaxes.
