BPD Synergy Throughout Indonesia, Bank DKI Signs Digital Payments MoU With Bank NTT
JAKARTA - Realizing the synergy of Regional Development Banks throughout Indonesia (SI), Bank DKI, and Bank NTT to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for digital payments through co-branding of electronic money and digital applications.
The MoU was signed by the Director of Technology and Operations of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono, and the President Director of Bank NTT, Harry Alexander Riwu Kaho. The signing was also witnessed by the Director of Retail & Sharia of Bank DKI, Babay Parid Wazdi, and the Director of Credit of Bank NTT, Paulus Stefen Messakh. This was conveyed by the Corporate Secretary of Bank DKI, Herry Djufraini in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 24.
In the future, Bank DKI will support Bank NTT in implementing cashless transactions using the digital ecosystem owned by Bank DKI and the branding chosen by Bank NTT. In addition, Bank NTT can use a digital platform or E-channel product owned by Bank DKI which will be integrated with JakCard as a prepaid card belonging to Bank DKI.
As for its use, it can be used for various merchants who have collaborated with Bank NTT and vice versa. "This collaboration further encourages the expansion of the application of non-cash transactions throughout Indonesia, and it is hoped that it can provide economic improvement in various sectors," said Herry Djufraini.
For information, the development of the JakCard Bank DKI electronic money card has been started since 2007 when the JakCard license was first issued. Until 2021, the JakCard can be used to meet the needs of its users for non-cash transactions such as transportation tickets for the MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, Transjakarta, Railink, and the Mikrotrans network.

In addition, JakCard can also be used as an entry ticket to various tourist locations and payments to various merchants. JakCard's performance until 2021 alone has reached 3.8 million cards in circulation with transaction volumes reaching IDR 10.5 billion.
The various collaborations that Bank DKI has explored with a number of BPDs are not only a form of implementing BPD SI synergy but also a sign of trust in the technological capacity of Bank DKI.
"Bank DKI also continues to strive to provide digital ecosystem services or e-channels to encourage the implementation of cashless transactions in various communities in DKI Jakarta through JakOne Community Apps such as JakOne Erte, JakOne Artri, and Ancol Apps. Going forward, Bank DKI will continue to innovate digital banking services such as JakOne Pay and JakSchool," concluded Herry.
