Malang Students Arrested By Densus 88 Plan Amaliyah Action To Police Station
JAKARTA - The National Police said that a student from a university in Malang, East Java, with the initials IA (22) who was arrested for a terrorism case, planned to carry out an Amaliyah action. The plan was communicated with the suspected terrorist network Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) with the initials MR.
"The person concerned communicated intensely with the suspect from the JAD group on behalf of MR who had been arrested. In the context of practicing public facilities and police stations", said Head of Public Information Bureau of Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Tuesday, May 24.
In addition, these students also have other roles. Among them are raising funds to help ISIS activities in Indonesia.
However, Ramadhan did not specify how IA would raise funds. This is still being investigated by the Densus 88 team.
"We are still developing", he said.

In addition, Ramadhan also said that IA also spreads content that contains elements of terrorism on social media. From the search, the content is about actions carried out by the ISIS group.
"The person concerned manages social media in the context of distributing ISIS materials related to criminal acts of terrorism", said Ramadhan.
Previously reported, Densus 88 Anti-terror arrested a student with the initials IA in Malang, East Java. He is said to have joined a terrorist network and supported the ISIS terrorist group in Indonesia.
IA was arrested on Monday, May 23, at around 12.00 WIB. Currently, the process of deepening is still being carried out to find out the network and its involvement.
