Formula E Race Car Parade May Be Canceled, Replaced With Exhibition At Monas
JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Metro Jaya Police said that the electric car that will be used in the Formula E event will be exhibited in the National Monument (Monas) area.
The plan for the racing car exhibition was after a change in the scheme ahead of the Formula E event. Previously, the racers and cars would have a parade.
"There is temporary information that there may not be a parade but the cars will be exhibited in the area inside the National Monument," said Director of Traffic Metro Jaya Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, Tuesday, May 24.
However, to ensure the exhibition plan, continued Sambodo, his party will coordinate with the Formula E committee.
"But to be sure, today we will meet with the Formula E committee to ensure that the activities will be held on Thursday, June 2," he said.

As for Formula E spectators, Sambodo said that people who already have tickets will be asked to wait at JIExpo Kemayoran. Then, there will be a bus to pick you up.
"We'll see the route and how the shuttle bus has been prepared by the committee. We try our best not to block the road as much as possible so it doesn't interfere with public traffic, but if we do have to close it, we will do it. That's why today we surveyed with the committee," said Sambodo.
As previously reported, the Head of the Jakarta Formula E Organizing Committee, Ahmad Sahroni, said that Formula E drivers would make a convoy in the National Monument (Monas) area before the race started.
"June 2 there is an activity for a photo session and a little spin inside Monas and the racers," said Sahroni.
