Central Java Residents Must Know, Now Police Tickets Through Cell Phones

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Traffic of the Central Java Police is using a new scheme to prosecute violations of driving rules. Currently, the prosecution uses a cellphone camera that is connected to the E-TLE.

"So in Central Java, ETLE Mobile is now using a special tool," said Kasigar of the Gakkum Sub-Directorate of Traffic and Traffic of the Central Java Police, Commissioner Muhammad Adiel Aristo, quoted from the NTMC Channel YouTube account, Monday, May 23.

The technique or mechanism of action by means of the camera is installed on the cellphones of members of the traffic police who are on patrol.

The camera is also operated through the Go-Sigap application. So, if a vehicle is found to be on patrol, the violation will be automatically recorded in the E-TLE system.

The use of this scheme aims to reach areas that do not yet have a static ETLE camera.

"The mechanism is like this, Traffic Police officers are patrolling in tandem using motorbikes. The officers behind are hunting for traffic violations using the Go-Sigap mobile special tool," said Adiel.

Then, the vehicle that is observed to have committed the violation will be validated by the officer at the TMC office. If it is completed, a violation confirmation letter will be sent to the address listed on the vehicle data.

In the letter, violators are asked to contact the call center to confirm the violation. Especially, regarding the mechanics of solving the ticket. The use of this technology can record several violations. For example, not wearing a helmet and installing police number plates is not according to the rules.

"There are already 350 units of ETLE Mobile cameras used by the Central Java Regional Police. The cameras are spread over 35 Police," said Adiel.
