Batang PLTU Construction Progress Is Almost 100 Percent, The Central Java Police Chief Guarantees Security And Legal Certainty
BATANG - Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol Ahmad Luthfi conducted a review of the National Strategic Project for the Development of the Batang Industrial Estate and the Batang PLTU Project, Thursday, May 19.
Together with a number of key officials, the Director of Operations of PT Bhimasena, and staff of the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate (KITB), Ahmad Luthfi saw firsthand the progress of the PLTU Batang or Central Java Power Plant project which was prestigious.
Based on the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia Number 0074/21/MEM/2015 concerning the Ratification of the Electricity Supply Business Plan of PT PLN Persero 2015-2024, it is explained that the Batang PLTU is part of the program to increase capacity in the Java Bali system, especially the addition of power plants.
It was also stated that the Batang PLTU is part of a large-scale strategic power plant project that will contribute to the national electricity supply.
Ahmad Luthfi explained that the Central Java Regional Police strongly supports the construction of the Batang PLTU and is committed to overseeing and contributing to the success of the project which is also one of the priority programs of the National Police Chief.
"Therefore, assistance like this is carried out to provide security guarantees and legal certainty for the development of national strategic projects, both PLTU Batang and other national strategic projects in Central Java," said Police Chief Ahmad Luthfi in a written statement, Thursday, May 19.

Based on observations, the construction of national strategic projects in Batang Regency is running smoothly. The construction of the Batang PLTU, which was hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic, has now reached 97.5 percent. The progress of the construction of the Batang integrated industrial area currently reaches 90 percent.
Meanwhile, the current supporting infrastructure has reached 10 percent. It is targeted that the overall development of supporting infrastructure will be completed in the first quarter of 2023.
