The Manager Of Pondok Indah Mall, Owned By Conglomerate Murdaya Poo, Earns IDR 1.31 Trillion In Revenue And IDR 324.75 Billion In Profit In 2021

JAKARTA - The management of Pondok Indah Mall belonging to the Murdaya Poo conglomerate PT Metropolitan Kentjana Tbk (MKPI) recorded an increase in performance in 2021. The company's revenue and net profit were able to grow throughout last year.

In MKPI's financial report, quoted on Tuesday 17 May, the company posted a net profit of IDR 324.75 billion, an increase of 40.25 percent compared to 2020 which was IDR 231.27 billion. This result boosted basic earnings per share to the level of IDR 342.5, while at the end of 2020 it was at the level of IDR 243.91.

Meanwhile, net income and sales grew 8.1 percent to IDR 1.318 trillion, supported by shopping center rentals, which grew 15.7 percent to IDR 582.25 billion. Followed by sales of land and buildings which grew 14.8 percent to IDR 147.94 billion. Similarly, hotel revenues rose 113 percent to IDR 81.009 billion.

However, office rent fell 7.1 percent to IDR 209.3 billion. In the same vein, rents for flats fell 23.62 percent to IDR 97.156 billion.

Although direct costs and cost of goods sold swelled 5.3 percent to Rp813.04 billion, gross profit grew 12.7 percent to IDR 504.95 billion. However, operating expenses can be reduced by 31.6 percent to IDR 108.37 billion.

Meanwhile, other expenses can be reduced by 50.4 percent to IDR 62.621 billion. This post was mainly due to the cost of the difference in the exchange rate falling 80.9 percent to IDR 16.982 billion.
