8 Months Baby Dies At Adam Malik Hospital Medan, Probable Acute Hepatitis
MEDAN - An 8-month-old baby with probable acute hepatitis died at the Adam Malik General Hospital for Hajj (RSUPH), Medan.
Head of the Doctors Team for Handling Acute Hepatitis at the Adam Malik General Hospital, Dr. Ade Rachmat Yudiyanto, said the baby died on Saturday, May 14, at 20.40 WIB.
In dealing with the baby, Ade said that his party had carried out several examinations to detect the disease he was suffering from. Including, it checking the baby's blood culture.
However, from the results of the examination, it was found that several disturbances caused the victim to die.
"The final diagnosis of this patient is that the first one is a respiratory failure because there is inflammation in his lungs. In addition, there is a disturbance in his heart circulation caused by bacteria. In addition, there is a serious bacterial infection", said Ade, Tuesday, May 17.
He explained that the patient was being treated at the Adam Malik General Hospital on Saturday, May 7th. During the treatment, the patient's condition worsened until he finally died.
"Yes he entered on Saturday and died on Saturday", he said.

He confirmed that so far there have been no cases of acute hepatitis in North Sumatra. If previously, there were cases found, said Ade, the status is still probable.
"So far, cases of acute hepatitis have not been in North Sumatra. Even if there is probable, until now we have no reports", he concluded.
