Sandiaga Uno Supports Young Filmmakers To Develop To Create Jobs

JAKARTA - The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, asked young creators to improve their skills in making short films.

"Through quality cinema that meets the rules of short films, let's explore the roots of the archipelago by creating #DiIndonesiaAja," said Sandiaga Uno in a written statement, Monday, May 16.

The enthusiasm of young regional filmmakers in producing short films will certainly help accelerate the revival of the national economy and create jobs.

"Salute to the young filmmakers who are always enthusiastic about working, creating jobs through film production, and being part of the national economic recovery process that we continue to strive for," said Sandiaga.

This was after Sandiaga Uno saw the enthusiasm of young filmmakers towards the Family Sunday Movie (FSM) since last February, young regional filmmakers were able to advance to class by establishing a Mukidi (Meeting Us Discussion) forum.

Mukidi is a virtual community or a gathering place for young filmmakers who join FSM to share knowledge and learn together.

Sandiaga also thanked the young filmmakers who had taken the time and participated in the Mukidi event.

"Thank you for those who were present at the Mukidi forum, I hope the sharing session is useful and for those who haven't been able to attend, don't worry because Mukidi will be held every 2nd and 4th week," said Sandiaga.

Currently, films that have been registered and passed the administrative selection are entering the curation stage. Sandiaga also advised the participants to monitor the next FSM agenda through FSM social media accounts and the familysundaymovie.com website.
