Donald Trump's Social Media, Social Truth Coming To The Web In May 2022
JAKARTA- After a few months of being available on the App Store, the social media application Truth Social, owned by former US President Donald Trump, will be available to web users at the end of May 2022. The news was delivered directly by Truth CEO, Devin Nunes, via the social media platform Truth.
"At the end of May we will launch this PWA (Web Browser) which will allow access from any device", Nunes wrote.
In addition to preparing a version for the website, Devin Nunes said that the Android version is currently still in the process of receiving approval from Google as the party developing Android.
This means that if Google approves the existence of the Truth application on Android services, there is a high possibility that the number of social media users will increase rapidly. Previously, Truth was available on the Apple App Store and was warmly welcomed by Donald Trump's supporters.
The Truth Social company Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) was launched by Donald Trump with a mission to fight tech giants after Trump lost access to Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube for allegedly inciting his supporters to violence during January 6 US Capitol riots.

But social media's efforts to thrive are now limited by its reliance on Google, which operates an app store with a strong dominance in the smartphone market.
The Truth app is currently only available in the United States, and since its launch on February 21, 2022, it has become the second most downloaded free app on the App Store service.
Trump started posting on Truth on Thursday, April 28, and it was his first post on his own app after a long hiatus. Trump has also made it clear that he refuses to return to Twitter.
TMTG plans to go public through a merger with blank check company Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC).
The deal is being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and is likely to be finalized in a few months.
