COVID-19 Update As Of May 2: 168 New Cases, 371 Healed Increase
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 45,958 specimens were examined with the results of 168 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,047,208 and active cases have fallen by 217 to 7,257", said Ministry of Health data, Monday, May 2.
Today's recovered cases increased by 371 cases, bringing the total to 5,883,664 people recovered. Then, positive confirmation that died 14 and a total of 156,287 people.
The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 88 cases and a total of 1,247,903 cases. Followed by Banten with 20 new cases with a total of 292,396 cases. West Java has 15 new cases and a total of 1,105,458 cases. Then, Bali with 10 new cases and a total of 157,166 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 197 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 48 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 25 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 17 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 95,693,194.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.71 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 734 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 199,346,528 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 165,376,991 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 40,181,376. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
