National Police Chief Forms Anti-Begal Task Force To Guard People Homecoming At Prone Hours

JAKARTA - National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, through his staff, has prepared a crime prevention scheme for the 2022 Eid homecoming. One of them is forming the Anti-Begal (Robber) Task Force.

"So the public is expected not to be anxious and afraid. Because the Police and all existing stakeholders have prepared a team", said Sigit in his statement, Tuesday, April 26.

With the formation of a task force, the public does not have to worry about safety during the trip, especially at vulnerable hours such as at night.

"So that people who go home, especially at vulnerable times, have a task force ready to guard them. So that people can go home safely and arrive at home", said the National Police Chief.

This security scheme can prevent congestion. This is because people can choose when to go home, either day or night.

"So the people's choice to go home either day or night all get the same services and facilities. So this can really break down the potential for traffic jams", said Sigit.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Relations Division, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said the Lampung Police had formed the Anti-Begal Task Force. Thus, the safety of the people who pass on the Trans Sumatra road is guaranteed.

"The Lampung Police have formed the Anti-Begal Task Force to secure and guard travelers crossing the Lampung area", said Dedi.
