Acting With Animatronics Dolls Worth IDR 2 Billion, Jessica Mila Worries Her Emotions Won't Be Channeled

JAKARTA - Jessica Mila and Montserrat Gizelle admitted that they were very challenged when they had to compete with animatronics dolls in the movie The Doll 3. Animatronics dolls are dolls whose movements are controlled by a remote control. It is known, the doll used in The Doll 3 movie was imported from the United States at a fantastic price of IDR 2 billion.

"This is the first time there is an Indonesian film that uses animatronics dolls. So, in my opinion, this is very challenging, because it must be very different to act in a scene with humans and dolls," said Jessica Mila, quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday, April 20.

When acting with the doll, Mila admitted that she was often nervous and worried that her emotions would not be channeled properly. "I was nervous about the acting, did you get it or not, because humans can give action and reaction, you can work together. Even though this doll in the film can express expressions, can talk, and can move too, the emotions are different. human," he continued.

Likewise with Montserrat Gizelle. He also felt how difficult it was to act with dolls. "The name is also a doll, right. If you and humans can build chemistry, make an appointment, for example when a scene is sad and the opponent is sad, yes, we must be brought along too, while this is the same as a doll, it's difficult," said Gizelle.

Mila added that another difficulty she faced when acting with dolls was the many emotional scenes that required her to see dolls like her own sister. In addition, many unexpected tragedies in the middle of filming were experienced by the doll.

"I really have to talk to him like I'm talking to my own sister, so looking at him is a pity. But during filming he had a lot of trouble, like a broken doll, had to be fixed in the middle of taking," said Mila. .

"So the emotions are already high, want to cry, suddenly the doll has problems," he added.

The Doll 3 is a continuation of the two previous films, The Doll (2016) and The Doll 2 (2017). Besides Jessica Mila and Montserrat Gizelle, the film also stars Jeremy Thomas, Zizie Zidane, Winky Wiryawan, Masayu Anastasia, and Sara Wijayanto.

The film tells the story of Tara (Jessica Mila) who feels very guilty when her only sister, Gian (Zizie Zidane), decides to end her life after their parents died in an accident. Tara then puts Gian's spirit into a doll named Bobby. Produced by Hitmaker Studios, "The Doll 3" is directed by Rocky Soraya and will premiere on May 26, 2022.
