The KPK Council Urged To Fire Lili Pintauli If It Is Proven That She Received Hotel Facilities And Tickets For The Mandalika MotoGP
JAKARTA - Indonesia summons (IM) 57+ Institute to urge the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to fire the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Lili Pintauli Siregar, if she is again proven to have violated ethics.
This urge arose after Lili was reported back to the KPK Supervisory Board for allegedly receiving hotel facilities and MotoGP tickets which were held in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) some time ago. This gift is said to have come from one of the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
"If the report on the violation of the receipt of the MotoGP ticket is proven to be true, then the Council must see that this is a repeated act, and the dismissal of Lili as one of the KPK leaders must be imposed," said Chairman of the IM 57+ Institute, Praswad Nugraha in a written statement to reporters, Wednesday, April 13th.
The former KPK employee reminded Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean and other members of the KPK Council not to view the alleged acceptance of gratification as an ordinary ethical violation.
Praswad said that the dismissal was deemed appropriate because Lili had been repeatedly reported and had been given severe sanctions for violating ethics. So, if you look at the criminal offense, the repetition of this kind of act should be given a heavier sentence.
Not only that but the dismissal must also be carried out because, if true, Lili received a ticket and hotel facilities from the BUMN side, then it is the same as receiving a gratuity which is included in a corruption crime.
"If this report is proven, there will be repeated ethical violations which are even included in the gratification offense and constitute a criminal act of corruption," he said.
Thus, severe sanctions in the form of dismissal are considered appropriate if Lili is later proven to have accepted. The goal is to maintain ethical standards that have been applied by the KPK and prevent employees from imitating the behavior of their leaders who often violate ethics.
"Dewas's repeated permissive actions against the violations of the KPK leadership will damage the mentality of all KPK employees down to the level of investigators and implementers in the field," said Praswad.

"Employees will imitate the actions of their leaders who repeatedly violate the code of ethics but are still fine," he added.
Lili allegedly received gratuities in the form of hotel accommodations to tickets to watch the Mandalika MotoGP from one of the state-owned companies.
This complaint was then followed up by the KPK Council by asking for clarification from a number of parties. In addition, Tumpak Hatorangan and colleagues have asked related parties to bring proof of booking accommodation at Amber Lombok Beach Resort and Mandalika MotoGP tickets at the Grandstand Premium Zone A-Red.
As for this complaint, this is not the first time that it has been directed against Lili. On August 30, 2021, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) Council stated that Lili was proven to have violated the code of ethics and code of conduct, so she was sentenced to severe sanctions.
She was found guilty of violating the code of ethics and behavioral guidelines in the form of abuse of influence as a KPK leader for personal interests and dealing directly with the party whose case is being handled by the KPK, namely the Mayor of Tanjungbalai M Syahrial.
For her actions, Lili was given a severe sanction in the form of cutting her basic salary by 40 percent for 12 months or IDR 1,848 million.
