Jambi Police Arrest 5 Perpetrators Of Illegal Gold Trade In Crate Results
JAMBI - The Jambi Regional Police's Ditreskrimsus arrested five perpetrators related to the case of illegal gold trading from gold mining without a permit (Crate) in Bungo Regency, Jambi.
The Director of Criminal Investigation at the Jambi Police, Kombes Christian Tory, said that the five perpetrators who were arrested had their respective roles in carrying out their actions. The police also confiscated 1.6 kg of gold and hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash as well as a furnace for melting gold granules from mining.
This case was revealed from information received by the police regarding a gold sale and purchase transaction from gold mining without a permit in Sungai Pinang Village, Bungo Dani District, Bungo Regency.
Having received this information, the team then moved to the location and it was true that they found two men with the initials HJA and ASH.
"From the two men, approximately 11 grams of gold and Rp. 20.6 million in cash were found," said Tory.
It was later discovered that the two men were financed by a financier with the initials DP. The team moved to DP's residence and managed to arrest DP along with two other men, IK and A.
"We carried out raids, where the team managed to find 1.6 kg of gold which was allegedly the result of gold mining without a permit, cash amounting to Rp. 51.3 million," said Kombes Tory.
