Launching InaExport, Deputy Minister Of Trade Jerry: This Platform Can Connect Exporters With Global Buyers
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Trade has launched a one-stop service platform for non-oil and gas export facilitation called InaExport. This is a form of the government's commitment to facilitating the business world and export activities in the midst of the globalization era which often increases demand and supply.
Deputy Minister of Trade Jerry Sambuaga said InaExport is a form of digital transformation encouragement by involving exporters in trading platforms through electronic systems (e-commerce), online events, and online exhibition programs.
"The Ministry of Trade developed InaExport with the aim of making it a one-stop service platform for non-oil and gas export facilitation to connect and promote Indonesian business actors or exporters to international buyers," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, April 12.
Jerry said InaExport also offers advantages. Not only helping sales, but also developing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to be ready to face the global market.
Furthermore, Jerry explained that the benefits for Indonesian exporters are in the form of training information and the latest information on trade fairs. In addition, exporters also have a great opportunity to be registered and found easily by potential buyers around the world.
The advantage for buyers is the ease of accessing product catalogs from verified Indonesian suppliers, sending inquiries or purchase requests with just one click.
According to the Vice Minister of Trade, InaExport is trying to make it easier to update data effectively and efficiently.
"Together with all overseas trade representatives and a network of buyers, InaExport aims to support sustainable business growth in conditions that are comfortable for both parties," he said.
"To date, 11.650 verified suppliers, 6.121 products, 534 market information, 27 activities, and 48 international representatives have been recorded in the InaExport system. This number is expected to continue to grow," he said.
Jerry said that the new normal era is a momentum that accelerates the digital economy in Indonesia and has shown considerable potential. Digital consumers increased from 69.5 percent before the pandemic to 79.7 percent in 2021.

Digital sellers are also increasingly familiar with technological developments. This shows that the digital economy ecosystem is on the right track.
"The contribution of the digital economy in 2021 will reach IDR 632 trillion or 4 percent of Indonesia's gross domestic product. Although the figure is relatively small, the growth is very fast," said Jerry.
Meanwhile, Director General of National Export Development (PEN) Didi Sumedi explained that InaExport's history began with the existence of a buyer reception desk (BRD) in the 1970s.
Didi said trade representatives are trying to bring international buyers to meet offline with business players ready to export.
In 2013, the Ministry of Trade through the Directorate General of National Export Development developed a Customer Service Center Membership (CSC) system for the Directorate General of National Export Development. Initially, CSC provided online and offline services for business actors to obtain export information.
"Over time, the demand for CSC services and improvements continues. With research and development, the Ministry of Trade presents InaExport as an online version of CSC with a more current and better version. Furthermore, InaExport can be accessed at the inaexport.id link," said Didi.
