His Contract Is Finished, Lay EXO Leaves SM Entertainment
JAKARTA - Lay announced that he was leaving the SM Entertainment agency today, Friday, April 8. Through his official SNS, he released a statement to coincide with EXO's 10th debut anniversary.
“10 years of development. Thank you to all of you. Thank you EXO members for your togetherness and support," said Lay, starting the letter.
“Thank you to my colleagues at SM who witnessed my every growth and achievement. Thank you to all the fans for the unconditional love and support."
The singer whose real name is Zhang Yixing said it was the right time to quit as an SM employee. However, he promised to always be when the EXO members needed him whenever.
“Time to part ways as an SM employee. This is also a new start for me at the age of 30," he said.

The HONEY singer added a photo caption that this decade is the best gift he has ever received.
At the same time, Lay also released a song called /JIU. This song is an expression of gratitude to fans and celebrating 10 years of debut. He also added the voices of the EXO members at the beginning of the song.
Zhang Yixing debuted with EXO in April 2012 under the stage name Lay. As a member from China, he set up a private studio to support his solo career in 2015.
Lay also wrote several songs, one of which was EXO 2014. He also had a successful career by starring in a number of films, series, and building the Chrosome Entertainment Group.
