SUKABUMI - The owner of 24.47 kilograms of methamphetamine who was arrested in Caringin Village, Sukabumi Regency, West Java on Wednesday, March 30 at around 01.30 western Indonesia time, is an inter-island drug dealer network.
"Suspects YS (34) and YH (23) are drug dealers from Sumatra, they are a network of inter-island methamphetamine dealers who are the main suppliers of the illicit goods for the Sukabumi, Bogor, and surrounding areas," said Sukabumi Police Narcotics Head, Commissioner Adjutant of Police Kusmawan in a press release held at the Sukabumi Police Headquarters, Palabuhanratu, reported by Antara, Thursday, April 7.
According to him, to uncover this case, the Sukabumi Police Satnarkoba personnel who were assigned had to keep an eye on the whereabouts of the two suspects for a long time, namely three weeks, because they often moved around.
However, the team's efforts in the field were not in vain after scouting the two suspects, starting from taking crystal meth from the Sumatra region then temporarily settling in Bogor, West Java, and finally entering Sukabumi Regency, where they were finally arrested and the evidence.
The illicit goods were sent from Sumatra by road and controlled by the main airport, which is currently still on the wanted list (DPO). From the results of the investigation, it turned out that before being caught, the two suspects had sold around three kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, the mode of which was to meet directly with consumers.
"We appreciate the team that has struggled to arrest the suspect in Nyangkowek Village, Cicurug District. Apart from West Java, the two also circulated the crystal meth to Central Java and other islands controlled by a major dealer," he said.

The articles that are charged to the two suspects are Article 114 (2) and or Article 112 (2) and or Article 132 (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of imprisonment for a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years or life. life.
