COVID-19 Update As Of April 7: New Cases 2,089, Accumulated 6,028,413 Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 239,741 specimens were examined with the result that there were 2,089 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,028,413 people and active cases have fallen by 3,844 to 78,302 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, April 7.
Today's recovered cases increased by 5,888 people, bringing the total to 5,794,602 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 45 cases and the total was 155,509 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 674 cases and a total of 1,242,105 cases. Followed by West Java with 366 new cases with a total of 1,101,715 cases. Banten with 204 new cases and a total of 290,709 cases. Central Java with 183 new cases and a total of 625,381 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 2,374 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 811 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 643 recovered cases and DI Yogyakarta with an additional 425 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 92,817,150.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 3.88 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 4,467 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Until now, 197,216,895 people received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination, and 160,935,915 people received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 25,606,528. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
