Lampung Police Destroys Hundreds Of Kilograms Of Methamphetamine And Marijuana
BANDARLAMPUNG - The Lampung Regional Police destroyed evidence from crimes for the three months from January to March 2022 in the form of 181 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 158.1 kilograms of marijuana worth IDR 271.8 billion.
"The drugs we destroyed can save 1,968,844 lives", said Lampung Police Chief, Inspector General Hendro Sugiatno, in Bandarlampung as reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 6.
He said, from January to March 2022, the Lampung Regional Police managed to uncover 21 cases with 29 suspects.
According to him, the circulation of narcotics in Lampung is still quite high. This is because this province is the trajectory for the delivery of these illicit goods by land to the island of Java.
"With the high circulation of narcotics, I have asked all ranks to take firm action against traffickers. I have ordered to take firm action and there is no doubt at all", said the Police Chief.

In addition to shabu-shabu and marijuana which were destroyed, the Regional Police Chief also said that 18,000 bottles of unlicensed liquor were also destroyed.
According to him, unlicensed liquor is mostly found in the jurisdictions of South Lampung and Bandar Lampung.
"There are two areas with the largest distribution of liquor, namely South Lampung and Bandarlampung. I would like to thank my colleagues who have worked together in fighting drug trafficking in Lampung", he said.
