COVID-19 Update As Of April 6th: 2.400 New Cases, Recovered Increases By 5.415

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 145.722 specimens were examined with the result that there were 2.400 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6.026.324 and active cases have fallen by 3.058 to 82.146," said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, April 6.

Today's recovered cases increased by 5.415 people, bringing the total to 5.788.714 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 43 cases and a total of 155.464 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 753 cases and a total of 1.241.431 cases. Followed by West Java which has 432 new cases with a total of 1.101.349 cases. Central Java has 295 new cases and a total of 625.198 cases. Banten has 196 new cases and a total of 290.505 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 2.014 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 566 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 553 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an additional 341 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 92.687.409.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 3.88 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 5.077 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, there are 197.107.907 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 160.740.389 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 25.296.816. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
