Police Failed Delivery Of Thousands Of Bottles Of Alcohol In Pandeglang Area
PANDEGLANG - The Pandeglang Police confiscated thousands of liquor (alcohol) during a raid on Jalan Raya Carita – Labuan, Carita District, Tuesday, March 29.
"During the raid, we secured 1 unit of a car carrying goods on the Carita Labuan route. After opening it, it turned out to be carrying thousands of alcohol", said Pandeglang Police Chief, AKBP Belni Walansyah, in a written statement, Wednesday, March 30.
After the inspection, Pandegalang Police personnel then brought the truck driver SY (39) along with his assistant, ZN (50) for the inspection to find out more about the source and purpose of the distribution.
"Evidence of 6,600 bottles of alcohol of various brands has been confiscated by investigators and the driver as well as the assistant has been asked for further information for the investigation", said Belni.

"The target of the inspection is not only alcohol but also firecrackers, rifles, and weapons, as well as drugs and street thugs to ensure that Ramadan and Eid remain safe in Pandeglang", said Belni.
Belni explained that various brands of alcohol transportation equipment had also been confiscated by investigators, namely a box truck with police number B 9496 BCS.
"We continue to act decisively in the field against findings of violations that can disturb the comfort of the community in carrying out fasting", concluded Belni.
