Ganjar Calls Election With E-voting System Just A Matter Of Trust

SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said that the implementation of electronic voting (e-voting) in the 2024 Election was just a matter of trust because it was the same as the system that had been going on so far.

"Actually, if we want to vote, we want to check whether we want to vote or not, we trust or not, we've voted, have changed ticks, voted again, right? It's just a matter of 'trust'," said Ganjar in Semarang, as reported by Antara, Monday, March 28.

The number one person in Central Java said that several regions had already tried voting with the e-voting system, one of which was the village head election in Bali.

"So it means that it's just a matter of 'trust'. When trust becomes a decision, it's just a matter of preparing the infrastructure, and the system is really maintained," said the former member of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

In preparation for the implementation of e-voting in elections, Ganjar continued, the government can collaborate with experts to research to find out whether or not the system can be implemented with the diversity that exists in Indonesia.

"It's just a matter of intensity, if the intensity is really wanting to vote by voting, then voting, those who like ticking, ticking, those using e-voting, why not? Why should we be one, we are different," said the PDI politician That struggle.

Regarding the election method, Ganjar continued, it only takes a sense of trust and in line with that, the infrastructure can be prepared.

"It's not a matter of agreeing or not, whether we believe it or not. Some (the infrastructure) can be ready, some are not, so when it comes to election, we just need to push it, in my opinion, things don't have to be uniform," he said.
