Intel And Boyolali Police Criminal Investigation Unit Have Been Deployed To Traditional Markets To Monitor Bulk Cooking Oil Distribution

BOYOLALI - The Boyolali Police Food Task Force continues to check the circulation of bulk cooking oil in traditional markets. So far, the police have not found any indication of irregularities.

"So far, we have not found any irregularities in the distribution of bulk cooking oil, which is currently still in limited stock," said Boyolali Police Chief Asep Mauludin in Boyolali, Antara, Thursday, March 24.

The Chief of Police explained that the Boyolali Police Food Task Force consisted of members of the Intelligence and Security Unit and the Criminal Investigation Unit. The Intelligence and Security Unit is tasked with detecting the Crime Investigation Unit and the Supervision and Enforcement Task Force.

The Boyolali Police Food Task Force monitoring activities are still ongoing, because they must report to the Central Java Police the progress of field checks regarding the availability of cooking oil and prices.

In addition, the Boyolali Police Food Task Force together with the local Trade and Market Service continue to monitor the supply of goods and the development of prices for basic necessities ahead of Ramadan.

"Stock and price checks are carried out in traditional markets and modern shops, including cooking oil," said the Police Chief.

However, so far, his party has not found any irregularities in the field. As for the current availability of cooking oil, it has started to be widely available in the market and people don't have to worry about scarcity.

The Boyolali Police will coordinate with the local district government's Trade and Market Office to oversee the activities of the local government in terms of the availability of goods and price developments.

The Boyolali Police Food Task Force will follow or accompany the relevant agencies to check the distribution of cooking oil and prices in markets to anticipate any irregularities," said the Head of Police.

"However, we have not found any irregularities in the distribution of bulk cooking oil to markets in Boyolali. We will continue to oversee the distribution from distributors to wholesalers, retailers to consumers," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Trade and Market Office of Boyolali Regency, Karseno, explained the problem of bulk cooking oil stocks in Boyolali, which are difficult to find and generally the same in the Solo Raya area. The stock of bulk cooking oil is limited and Boyolali has no distributor. So it is clear that Boyolali has to wait for supplies from the sales, from Solo, Klaten, Salatiga, Semarang, and other areas.

However, his party asked the traders to comply with the Circular of the Ministry of Trade regarding HET at a price of IDR 14.000/liter or IDR 15.500/kg. Market operations (OP) are temporarily suspended in their respective regions because packaged cooking oil has been distributed normally and prices are according to market mechanisms.

"We haven't found any indication of hoarding of cooking oil so far, we hope it doesn't exist in Boyolali," he said.
