Bali United Getting Closer To The Title Of Indonesian League 1 Champion, Teco: It's Not Over
JAKARTA - Bali United has a great chance of securing the 2021/2022 Liga 1 title. The 2-0 victory over Madura United in the last match made the club nicknamed Serdadu Tridatu more comfortable at the top of the standings.
Bali United is firmly at the top of the standings with a collection of 72 points, five points ahead of their tight competitor, Persib Bandung, who is in second place. With two remaining matches, Stefano Lilipaly and his friends are clearly more favored.
If he succeeds in bringing Bali United to victory, coach Stefano Cugurra will make history. He will be a coach who successfully won three Indonesian League titles.
Previously, Cugurra presented champion trophies for Persija Jakarta (2018) and Bali United (2019). However, he refused to think about it.

The man who is familiarly called Teco actually warned his players. According to him, their task is not finished until the competition is really over.
"The most important thing right now is not my individual achievements, but the most important thing is to work for the benefit of the team, for Bali United and everyone on the island of Bali so that we can all succeed and become champions together. But this (struggle) is not over, we have to respect all opponents and we still have to face Persebaya," said Teco as in the official Bali United website.
Teco knows very well the character of Persebaya. He believes the match will be fierce.
"I know the city of Surabaya very well and know the character of the Persebaya Surabaya players. They have quality and we have to respect them, just as we respect Madura United," he said.
The Brazilian coach said his team had to work hard to get positive results. After that, he just invited the Bali United players to enjoy the results.
"But before, you can't," said the former Persija Jakarta coach.
