His Father Owed IDR 8 Trillion, Irjanto Ongko's Luxury House Was Confiscated By The BLBI Task Force: It Has A Tennis Court And A Private Swimming Pool
JAKARTA - The Task Force (Satgas) for handling state claims for Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) today is said to have confiscated two assets belonging to Irjanto Ongko, who is the son of Kaharudin Ongko as a BLBI obligor.
The daily chairman of the BLBI Task Force, Rionald Silaban, said that Kaharudin Ongko has not yet completed all of his obligations as an obligor for the National Commercial Bank and Bank Arya Panduarta with a total of around IDR 8.08 trillion. This fantastic amount still does not include the administrative costs of managing state receivables of 10 percent.
"The confiscation of assets belonging to Irjanto Ongko as the son of Kaharudin Ongko was carried out in accordance with the Master Refinancing And Note Issue Agreement (MRNIA) on December 18, 1998 between Kaharudin Ongko and the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA)," he said in a press statement, Wednesday, March 23.
According to Rionald, in Article 4.8 MRNIA states that Kaharudin Ongko as the obligor/shareholder bears the shortage of payments to the government.
"Shareholders fully disclose to the government all properties, assets owned/controlled by shareholders, children of shareholders, parents of shareholders and spouses of shareholders," he stressed.
Rionald added, to cover the shortfall in payments to the government, according to Article 7.9 of the MRNIA, the government found that the shareholders had failed to fully disclose the property/assets as referred to in article 4.8 of the MRNIA.

"Therefore, the government has determined assets related to Kaharudin Ongko on assets belonging to Irjanto Ongko as the son of the debtor/obligor Kaharudin Ongko according to MRNIA, as collateral for the settlement of obligations of obligor Kaharudin Ongko. The obligor must bear the shortfall of the state's obligations including his children according to the MRNIA," he explained.
The following are two assets belonging to Irjanto Ongko as the son of Kaharudin Ongko which were confiscated today.
1. A plot of land SHM No. 00553/Kuningan Timur on behalf of Irjanto Ongko with an area of 1.825 square meters located in the Kuningan Timur Village, Setiabudi District, South Jakarta City, along with the buildings above it.
2. A plot of land SHM No. 00554/Kuningan Timur on behalf of Irjanto Ongko with an area of 1.047 square meters located, in the Kuningan Timur Village, Setiabudi District, South Jakarta City, along with the buildings above it.
In the visual attachment released by the Task Force, it can be seen that this pair of assets has very luxurious facilities. In fact, one of them is a house building complete with tennis court and private swimming pool.
"The two assets that have been confiscated will continue with the management process in accordance with statutory provisions, namely open sales (auctions) and / or other settlements," concluded the Daily Head of the BLBI Task Force Rionald Silaban.
