COVID-19 Update As Of March 22: New Cases 7,464, Healed Increases 29,084
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. As a result, there were 7,464 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5,974,646 people and active cases have decreased by 21,790 to 181,555 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, March 22.
Today's recovered cases increased by 29,084 cases, bringing the total to 5,639,029 recovered people. Then, there were 170 positive confirmed cases and a total of 154,062 people died.
The province with the highest new cases was in West Java with 1,722 cases and a total of 1,090,524 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 1,012 new cases with a total of 1,230,209 cases. Central Java has 828 new cases and a total of 619,879 cases. Then, Banten with 499 new cases and a total of 286,085 cases.
Banten has the province with the most recovered cases today, with an additional 8,736 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 4,852 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,928 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 1,819 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 90,709,336.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 9.24 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 9,372 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 19,906,900 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 155,391,750 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 17,565,378. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
