Bali Police Chief Ensures Safe Cooking Oil Stock

DENPASAR - Bali Police Chief, Inspector General Putu Jayan Danu Putra, has ensured that cooking oil stocks on the Island of the Gods are safe.

The Chief said two distributors of cooking oil in Bali have confirmed the stock and distribution. Two cooking oil distributors, PT Sawit Tunggal Arta Raya and PT Argo at Benoa Harbor were visited by the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"So these two distributors have been able to back up Bali and so far the situation in the field for bulk oil is safe at an appropriate price and a reasonable level", said the Bali Police Chief, Tuesday, March 22.

Inspector General Putu confirmed that the supervision of the distribution of cooking oil was carried out. The Food Task Force, called the Kapolda, is moving to ensure the distribution of cooking oil to prevent shortages.

"As I said, oil stocks in Bali are still hundreds of tons. The position two and three days ago was still 1,800 tons. That's still enough for one month. PT Argo in 1 or two days there will be another dropping, with these conditions Bali is safe", he said.

If there is a deviation in the distribution, the Bali Police Chief stressed that his party will take firm action. This is by the order of the Chief of Police.

"We will act according to existing rules. So if there are deviations, what are the deviations. If there is no violation of the law, what are the next steps, persuasive steps? Strict action is taken if there are deviations and so far Bali is still normal", he said.

Meanwhile, Denpasar Police Chief, AKBP Bambang Yugo Pamungkas, monitored the distribution and price of cooking oil at Kreneng Market, Denpasar City.

"This morning I checked at Kreneng Market which is a traditional market in Denpasar City. Information from traders I met was that bulk cooking oil stocks were especially safe. Packaged cooking oil is also easy to get", he said.
