Foreign Tourists Complained, The PHRI Buleleng Bali Proposes To Take PCR Test Twice
BULELENG - The chairman of the Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) of Buleleng, Bali, Dewa Ketut Suardipa, said the requirements for the third PCR swab test were a question for travel agents. Three times the PCR test is considered burdensome for foreign tourists who come to the Island of the Gods.
PHRI Buleleng proposes that foreign tourists who come to Bali only need two PCR tests, namely in their country of origin and when they arrive on the island of Bali.
"Of course, there are some inputs. First, this is a travel agent from Denmark, our member conveyed it and there are some friends," said Suardipa, when contacted, Monday, March 21.
His party really appreciates the health protocol, especially since hotels in Bali have been warned to have a CHSE program certificate. This is a condition to be able to receive tourists.
"For the PCR problem, input and suggestions were given. It's not that we don't agree, we still agree that the name is a health protocol because it's the main thing. But why is there still a third PCR. Tourists come to Indonesia and previously they had PCR in their country, the results were negative, can they fly to Indonesia, especially to Bali," he added.
Foreign tourists after two PCR tests, namely when in their country and after arriving in Bali. They returned for a PCR test when they arrived at the hotel on the third day and that became a question for foreign tourists and according to him, it was not necessary because foreign tourists had two PCR tests and the results were negative.
"So there is a third PCR. After in Bali he stayed (again) at PCR. It was in that requirement. So, after he arrived in Bali he was PCR negative, then he came to the hotel, at the hotel on the third day he was PCR again "Yes, it's a bit burdensome and becomes the third PCR question. They've been vaccinated until the second vaccine meets the requirements," he explained.

This is also complained of by foreign tourists. Because they have to do a PCR test again when they return to their country.
"Later he returned (to his country) for another PCR test. Originally he had four PCR tests. His proposal was yes, he was negative twice. If there are excessive requirements, there will be doubts. Where is the competition for other tourism, our competitors are not like that," he said.
"In the end he chose (tourism in other countries), people traveling too many rules. Like yesterday the visa on arrival was toyed with, then quarantine and so on, in the end, tourists have not booked. But if it has been changed, the reality is now," he explained.
