JAKARTA – PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk. (BNI) is committed to continuing its support for Indonesian diaspora business activities abroad.
General Manager of BNI Seoul Branch Office, Anisfu, said that his party is the only state bank that has a representative office in South Korea. According to him, the presence of BNI in South Korea has contributed a lot to developing the business of the diaspora in this country.
"In the future, we will also continue to explore the potential for collaboration between BNI and the diaspora. We know there is a diaspora who have businesses, we are ready to finance. We are also ready to support various banking solutions and beyond banking that we have", he said in an official statement, Sunday, March 20.
Anisfu added that the company's presence is considered to be able to reduce language, cultural, and administrative barriers for the diaspora so that they can immediately get banking services that are more precise and efficient.
"As a government development agency with international advantages, BNI is increasingly serious in encouraging exploration of collaboration with the diaspora", he said.

For information, the strategy to strengthen BNI's business network abroad is a special mandate from the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir. In his statement, Erick revealed that it was necessary to take more serious aim at the diaspora business potential.
"On that basis, we appointed BNI to continue to increase its focus on international business expansion", he said.
Moreover, continued Erick, the collaboration of the diaspora with national banks is an effort to explore many investment opportunities abroad, increase the potential for new jobs for the Indonesian people, encourage domestic MSMEs to Go Global, as well as attract a lot of potential investment from abroad.
"Of course, we continue to support the Indonesian diaspora with various programs and more support for financing", he said.
To note, currently, BNI has seven overseas branch offices spread across various countries, such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Osaka - Japan, New York - United States, Seoul - South Korea, and London - England.
