Mandalika 2022 MotoGP FP4 Results: Colored Red Flag Franco Morbidelli Creates The Fastest Surprise, Fourth Quartararo

JAKARTA - Monster Energy Yamaha racer, Franco Morbidelli became the fastest in the fourth free practice session (Fap4) of the MotoGP Mandalika 2022 on Saturday, 19 March afternoon.

Morbidelli began to dart to the top position in the final minutes of the race. He then managed to become the fastest after recording a time of 1 minute 31.968 seconds.

The fastest results achieved by Morbidelli did not escape the incidents that occurred on the field. The Red Flag was flown before the last 10 minutes of the lap because Suzuki's motorbike, Aleix Rins, caught fire.

That moment then made the race was temporarily stopped because there was an oil spill. After the restart, Marco Bezzecchi of Mooney VR46 Racing Team immediately topped the top spot.

The Valentino Rossi student was followed by Marc Marquez from Repsol Honda, Francesco Bagnaia from Ducati Lenovo and Fabio Quartararo who represented Monster Energy Yamaha.

Entering the last 15 minutes, Fabio Quartararo pushed to the second position after sharpening his time record. However, Marquez's efforts went wide when he bulldozed Turn 10 of the Mandalika Circuit.

Meanwhile, until the lap was completed, Quartararo could only finish in fourth position because he lost quickly to Morbidelli's time. At the end of the unfortunate FP4 session, it was achieved by Marquez who was actually thrown into 11th position.
