Amazon Will Not Follow Fan Desire To Reduce 'New World' Players
JAKARTA - Three days ago, Amazon Games has confirmed that New World will not reduce the number of players in 50v50 PVP roles. Even after the feedback from players around the world.
“Based on the feedback we have received, we will be delaying the 40v40 change. We hope to test it on PTR to validate our view that it plays better. But that hasn't happened yet, and we underestimate how important it is to lose 20 men in the war. Even if it's a little better for 80 people, the 20 missing people are really hurting," wrote Zin Ramu, one of the New World development team in a game forum.
Massive PVP wars between factions in mobile games are the main attraction of Amazon's New World MMORPG. However, it also had its problems for them, with the sheer scale of the battle.
The problem is in performance and slowness in war since the game's launch. This happens because this game has 100 players in one small area so that server performance is disrupted. Reducing the number of players is one of the solutions proposed by the players.
But Amazon said in a previous forum post that improving performance wasn't the only reason for the now-deferred change.

"While we love 50v50 heroism, when we tested 40v40 internally, War still felt great when it played better, it was easier to coordinate teams, and War felt a little more tactical," wrote Amazon, quoted from Gematsu.
The main reason for the reduction in the number of players in War that many people are upset about is how difficult it is to participate in War from the start. Guilds involved in the War can decide who will participate based on who registers.
Sometimes this meant that one larger Guild would field an entire army on its own, while another smaller Guild would have to recruit players from other Guilds to assist them in the fight. Reducing the number of War players means fewer players can participate in one of New World's most exciting and high-stakes features.
